First round of the Greatest Underrated Band is over and one thing is clear. The artist to put your money one as of now is Lauren Harris. Lauren carried 86% of the votes and her vote total was right around the century mark and the only other band to even be in that ballpark was Motorhead who garnered over 70 votes.
Iron Maiden fans are once again proving their loyalty but there seemed to be some chinks in the Lauren Harris armor. There were some lively comments in the poll area debating her validity as an artist. The real question is now that Lauren blew past her first round competition will Maidens choose the offspring of their favorite band over bands like WASP, SAXON, or Yngwie Malmsteen if those match ups happen. We will find out since Ms. Harris takes on the Blackie Lawless and his band WASP. ..who in their own way have an Iron Maiden connection as well.
